I come here often nowadays since Iroquois pool is shut down. Even though it’s crowded, it’s not as crowded as Chippewa is! That pool is like the Wild West! Staff are always nice and friendly, they make sure everyone is safe, reminding them to walk and not run. Lifeguards are helpful too, they remind anyone under 18 they need to leave the water when there is a rest break.
This is my now go-to water park until Arndt Park pool is ready and since Iroquois is gone. I will definitely keep coming to Mystic Waters this summer!!!

Overall, this is a good place to bring kids. There is a splash area that is gated and if you have little ones, you will have peace knowing they are OK and there is little to NO drowning risk in the area.
There are 4 water slides and two platforms to jump. Just know - there are two slides and two platforms which go into a 12ft pool. YOU CANT SWIM HERE - you have to jump and get out! The other two slides are LARGE and have a bit of stairs to access them.
There are TONS of chairs in both shade and sun! This was super nice. They have the lounge chairs and regular chairs.
WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE -
- The swimming area doesn't go beyond 5ft deep! I love nearby parks which have the 12ft depth.
- ITS MANDATORY to use the floaties in the lazy river. I have a big chest and I can not fit in that floatie. If you are obese, you will not fit in the floatie either.
- BECAREFUL eating there - I threw up in the parking lot not long after eating a hot dog. And evn writing this post today, I am still nauseated. I definitely caught some food borne illness.
If you have kids - GO HERE! If you are an adult, skip this place and go to the Niles waterpark nearby.
Always love this place Been going for years and the kids enjoy themselves as well Thanks to all the staff for being so nice and attentive to the parents needs and trying to resolve any issues and also very respectful 🙏 Thanks so much my little ones had a Blast
Nice place to hang out with your family. If you want to go when it is less people, visit in the evening. And budget friendly as well.
We get a season pass every year. I love this smallish waterpark it’s good for kids all ages w a splash pad. Slides. Huge sand box. Lazy river. Like I said it’s small so its easy to keep the kids contained but lots to do! Also has a very nice concession/ cafeteria where everything is very reasonably priced so I don’t have to bring anything. A+ Love it!!!
Had a lot of fun. Went there with my friends on a hot day and it was the perfect place to cool off. Lots of crazy slides and multiple pools ranging from 1 foot to 12. They have food and drinks as well. Would recommend and I would bike the 7 miles again just to go back.
One of the largest and most beautiful waterparks in Northern Illinois, Mystic Waters is a favorite destination for families throughout the Chicagoland area.
Featuring two exciting 37-foot tall slides – some of the highest in the area, and a variety of fun spaces, Mystic Waters is filled with activities for all ages. After braving the big slides of Otter’s Run, enjoy the daring drop slides and cliff dives in Sea Lion Falls. Need to relax? Mystic Waters offers the Crocodile Cove lazy river, with 550 feet of inner tube floating fun, and the expansive Dolphin Bay: a zero-depth leisure pool where you can enjoy fountains, jet sprays, and a child-size dolphin slide
It is a good water park and fun. Everything is clean. The bathrooms are very clean. You have a lot of fun with the family. I recommend it.
